The Menaul Art Youtube Channel has been updated with a two-part video.

Menaul Art Printing in Clearwater, FL is an art gallery that offers a variety of services from custom abstract artwork to art/photo reproduction for other artists and photo retouching and restoration.

As promised, here is the artwork I have been creating using the Aum symbol. You can also see how I preview the artwork in the client’s home using photos of the space.

Those 9 panel pieces are a new creation that I am excited about. They require a custom-built frame to align them, but that actually makes it easier for people to install on their own without help. It would be a pain to have to line up and hang all 9 pieces separately.

I will share the Ganesha art soon! Let me know how you like this.

Symbolism

This past year or so I’ve been interested in symbolism. Symbols can be powerful things, things that represent deep-seated beliefs, allegiances; political, spiritual or religious orientations.

To date, I have created an abstract American Flag (“New Glory”), the “Star of David,” and a Christian cross (“The Lord’s Prayer”). I am now working on some Indian (from India) symbolism: the Aum and the Ganesha.

Aum (or “om”) is a sacred or mystical syllable in the Indian religions, including Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism, and Buddhism.

The symbol I’m using is the Devanāgarī Aum. Devanāgarī is the main script used to write Hindi, Marathi, and Nepali.

Here is the Aum symbol by itself. I’ll post my Aum symbol artwork soon. Then I’ll talk about Ganesha. Stay tuned.
